Our "Jumbo Reds" are
Dendrobeana-Vineta a.k.a. European Crawlers. They are marketed
under many different names. European Nightcrawlers, Belgium
Nightcrawlers, Giant Reds, Redwigglers, Troutworms, Leaf worms,
Panfish worms, Big Reds, and who knows what
else.
Great bait for any Panfish,
plus Carp, Cats, Perch, Trout, Smallmouth, Largemouth, anything that
eats worms.
MUCH tougher than Regular
Redworms. Also a lot bigger. Better hook holding than Canadian
Crawlers. Can be stored between 33 and 70
degrees.
NOTE: Due to the toughness of their hide, please use a sharp
hook, (if you pook them, they just get mad and want to fight. It's
simpler to hook a minnow when wearing mittens than a mad Euro
with a dull hook) and watch the barb for hide build up. When
the barb gets built up with excess hide....fish get off.
